Coach Andre Hall Al-Ghani, was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey. At the age of 1 years old he moved to Long Beach, California and started running track at the age of 7 years old for the Long Beach Sprinters youth track club, coached by Harrison Walker, Earl McCullough & Ernest McBride.  His highest achievements came when he attended and ran track at Long Beach Polytechnic High School and was coached by Don Norford, one of the most respected high school track coaches in this country.  Coach Andre became a proud member of the 1988 California State Track & Field finals 4 x100 relay team that ran a 40.64 at that time it was the fastest time ran in Long Beach history.

 

In 1990, Coach Andre was honored to be a member for the Long Beach Sprinters coaching staff and use his many years of experience to train, coach and mentor Long Beach youth kids.

 

In 2004, Coach Andre moved to Gwinnet County, Georgia, in chase of a new life and more opportunities, he saw the lack of track & field and cross country on the youth level.

 

Carrying the love for his school, knowledge, experience and passion for track & field. In 2008 Coach Andre founded JackRabbit Running Club & Track Team. A youth boys and girls program for student/athletes 7-18 years of age. Jackrabbit has become arguably the top youth track program in the Country. 

 

In 2012 he joined Mountain View High school track and cross country coaching staff implementing their speed and endurance programs.

 

In 2016 Coach Andre now operates Jackrabbit full time with a Indoor track season along with outdoor and cross country. He has also implemented an off season training program to keep Jackrabbit student/athletes in shape for their Spring High School seasons.

 

The Jackrabbit Track has become one of the most recognizable youth programs in the Country. Producing Scholars & Champions both on and off the track. All Americans, National Champions & National Records. In 2016 Coach Andre was rewarded the USATF Georgia Association Coach of the Year. 2017 GATFXCCA Club Coach of the Year and 2018 Georgia Middle School Coach of the Year.

 

Coach Andre has had the opportunity to mentor, coach, train and develop a significant number of student/athletes with all skill levels of experience. He and his Jackrabbit Coaching staff has sent well over a 72 student/athletes to DI & D2 College & Universities. The likes of University of Georgia, University of Tennessee, Southern Cal and Clemson to name a few. 

 

His leadership has lead the Jackrabbit Track & Field program to 84 National Titles, Two U20 Team USA Members & 23 High School Athlete Individual Titles.
